The City of Lavonia Police Department needed a new facility to accommodate the growing needs of the community. ZEL Engineers assisted the City leaders and the Police Department in identifying the future requirements to meet the demands of the department. These demands not only encompassed Federal and State regulations but also included Judicial, departmental and local needs.
After assisting in identification of the needs of the project, ZEL provided design services and construction support for the Law Enforcement Center. Architectural and functional blending into an existing Downtown backdrop was essential. The Law Enforcement Center includes a Judicial Courtroom, offices for court and police employees, limited holding cells, booking facilities, training rooms and kitchen.
