This project consists of various lighting and electrical upgrades to both the Jim Blanchard WTP and the Clarks Hill WTP. In addition, the High Service Station No. 2 at the Jim Blanchard WTP will have a room added to house new Motor Control Centers.
Bids are due July 15, 2021 by 12:00 PM EST and are to be submitted electronically via columbiacountyga.bonfirehub.com. The public opening will be virtual via WebEx @ https://ccgagov.webex.com/meet/gosteen and submissions will be read at 2:00 PM EST. No submitted bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days.. All bids must have a State of Georgia Contractors License and adhere to project specific licensing requirements outlined in the bid documents.
All proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond drawn in favor of Columbia County, GA, in the amount of at least ten percent (10%) of the lump sum bid for the complete work; such Bid Bond representing that the Bidder, if awarded the contract will promptly enter into a contract and furnish Performance Bond and Payment Bond as provided by law and approved by the Attorney for Columbia County, GA.
Each bond shall be equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. The Bid Bond shall be forfeited to Columbia County, GA as liquidated damages if the Bidder fails to execute the contract and provide Performance and Payment Bonds within ten (10) days after being notified that he has been awarded the contract. Letters of credit will not be accepted.
