Columbia County Water Utility, Columbia County GA. – Equipment in eleven (11) filters and four (4) basins had exceeded its operational life. ZEL provided design services, construction administration, and construction inspection for replacement of eleven filter bottoms and media, replacement of all valves and instrumentation for the filters, converting the filters from water sweeps to air scour for backwash, structural repairs to basins, replacement of flocculators for four basins, and demolition and replacement of baffle walls. The project also included security upgrades and restoration of the entrance road.
